We were thrilled to have over 1 million students Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF this year, and we have loved seeing all of the videos and pictures of kids being “scary good” this Halloween. Thank you, a million times over, for joining us in this original Kids Helping Kids initiative.

Now, we have one more final treat to share!

If your elementary school or class participated in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF this year, and you submit your collections by Wednesday, November 22, your school will automatically be entered for a chance to win a UNICEF Kid Power Classroom Kit!

We’re excited to introduce our original Kids Helping Kids initiative to our newest program, UNICEF Kid Power, which allows students to save lives just by getting active!

UNICEF Kid Power inspires students to be global citizens while getting active and learning about the world around them.

My favorite is in the very beginning when one of my students, a young man who doesn’t usually participate in class activities and struggles with his grades, asked to clarify why we were using the bands.

He said, ‘So, just by exercising, and I’m good at that, I can SAVE people’s lives?’

His eyes were watering and so were mine when I said a resounding, ‘Yes!’

While we only have 10 kits to giveaway, you can always use our free educational resources—they can be integrated into virtually any classroom setting, lesson or subject. UNICEF Kid Power class kits are also available for purchase.

Finally, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF National Partners, HSNi Cares and Key Club International. They have been working so hard to support you and all kids in raising funds and awareness for UNICEF’s lifesaving work. We couldn’t do it without our partners and educators like you!
