UNICEF Kid Power is a program of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, founded in 2014 in collaboration with Calorie Cloud and the George Harrison Fund for UNICEF.
The Kid Power technology platform was developed by Calorie Cloud, a nonprofit health startup dedicated to ending hunger by getting adults and kids healthier. Calorie Cloud’s mission is to use technology to double the global budget for Ready-to-use Therapeutic Food, the main line of defense against Severe Acute Malnutrition.
The first generation of Kid Power technology and first citywide pilot of the Kid Power school program was funded by the George Harrison Fund for UNICEF. The George Harrison Fund is a joint undertaking between the Harrison family and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to support UNICEF programs that provide lifesaving assistance to children, including health, education, nutrition and emergency relief.
